Beautiful cherry amber, set in a halo of sterling silver, twisted into a rope design.
 
Cherry amber is found when a new deposit of amber is discovered.  It is the amber that is closest to the surface of the deposit, and it has microscopic fractures that cause the surface of the amber to darken to a lovely red, from deep red, almost black, through brighter reds, to a cognac color.
